It's been a while!

Good morning blog-o-sphere!

I'm off sick today with a pretty nasty cold.  My body has a predilection for ear infections, and I can feel them starting to plug up.  Hopefully I can stop the process before it gets too bad.  Maybe I can get an H1N1 shot while I'm at the doctor's office...

It's been an up and down few weeks.  I'm a little behind schedule, because I haven't been eating incredibly healthy.  Also, this cold keeps dragging on, and it hasn't been helping my exercise routine.  On the plus side, I was able to get in my squash games in the ladder, and moved up to the next division!  I think these games will be quite challenging and I hope to stay in the division for a few weeks.

Right now I'm five pounds down after 6 weeks.  My new plan is to make 2 standard meals each week:

a) chicken breast, veggie and carb
b) fish, veggie and carb

If I can continue with that, make my own pizza once a week, and add in a homemade pasta dish, I think that will be quite healthy.  Also, I'm trying to transition my snacking over exclusively to popcorn and fruit.  Not at the same time -- "grapes and popcorn" doesn't sound like an incredible combo.  I do think that having apples and cheese for a snack is a great upgrade from chips.  Hummus and veggies would be a step up as well.
